BRISTOL, R.I. (WLNE) — The Bristol Police Department said a man was arrested on Aug. 7 after he allegedly crashed into a police cruiser and injured two officers.

Andrew McCool was arrested for DUI after he allegedly crashed into the rear of a police cruiser on Hope Street.

Police said that the crash pushed the cruiser into another cruiser that was parked in front of it, causing damage to all three vehicles and injuring the officer in the driver seat of one cruiser and another that was standing outside of his vehicle.

The department said there were no serious injuries, and that the crash was under investigation.
