HOPKINTON, R.I. (WLNE) — The The Rhode Island Department of Health said it was closing the swimming areas at Camp Yawgoog in Hopkinton due to high bacteria counts.

The closed areas include Sandy Point, Three Point, and Medicine Bow.

RIDOH said it monitors bacteria counts in bodies of water through labor.

Up-to-date statuses of swimming areas can be heard in a pre-recorded message by calling 401-222-2751.
