ERBACON, W.Va. (WBOY) — Two people were arrested after children were found living in "squalid" conditions in a cockroach-infested home in Braxton County.
An anonymous letter sent to a Braxton County Circuit Judge alleged that several children were suffering neglect; although the letter was vague, it sparked an investigation by the West Virginia State Police, according to a press release. Troopers said that the investigation led them to a home in Erbacon where two children were living the custody of Mary Bragg, 51, and James Bragg, 58.
Troopers said that there was excessive trash throughout the home and that it was infested with cockroaches. Both of the suspects were also under the influence of controlled substances when troopers arrived, according to the release.
The two juveniles told
