BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. (WNDU) - August is National Overdose Awareness Month, and the Berrien County Health Department is doing its part by hosting free Narcan training events later this month.
Narcan is administered in cases of opioid overdose.
The training will take place at the following locations on the following days. There will be two separate sessions for the 15-minute training each day (9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.).
Wednesday, Aug. 27, at BCHD’s Benton Harbor office (2149 E. Napier Avenue)
Thursday, Aug. 28, at BCHD’s Niles office (1205 N. Front Street)
The training is free, but registration is required. You must also be 18 or older.
