Alberta RCMP are investigating a shooting incident that happened in Leduc Thursday morning.

Mounties say just after 2:15 a.m., a dark-coloured sedan was seen in the Diamond Estates neighborhood, waited for about 20 minutes, then, before it drove away around 2:35 a.m., 18 shots were fired from the vehicle towards a home.

Mounties say an investigation is underway, and they do not believe the shooting was random.

Anyone who has any information or any security footage in the area around that time is asked to contact investigators at 780-980-7267 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
