Delaware’s first few days of retail marijuana sales show promising signs of a flourishing industry, but still slightly below what neighboring states had in their early days.

The state’s 12 stores that were able to sell both medicinal and recreational marijuana for the first time earned $903, 098 in the first three days of business , according to the state. About 63% of those sales were to recreational customers.

Delaware has issued 15 retail licenses, but three stores could not open due to local governments blocking marijuana stores from opening.
