NEWARK — AirJoule Technologies may have just cut the ribbon on its state-of-the-art plant in Delaware Industrial Park in Newark, but it’s already starting to manufacture units on site.

The new 42,000 square-foot site will manufacture metal organic framework, or a porous material that can trap water at relatively low humidity levels. With its specific fabric and a dual vacuum chamber, AirJoule is able to capture water molecules from ambient air, recycling it as distilled water or dehumidified air.

Through a joint venture partnership with GE Vernova, AirJoule has its eyes set on commercialization in 2026. Targeted customers include data centers, which can use AirJoule’s systems to produce water for evaporative cooling, as well as other advanced manufacturing companies.
