A man choked and punched the mother of his two children days after badly hurting a stranger in a restaurant bathroom, court heard Friday.

Reno White, who pleaded guilty to the April 28, 2024 assault on the female, also bit the woman’s ear, cut off her hair and hit her head off the floor of a Garden River First Nation residence, said assistant Crown attorney Stuart Woods. The assaults happened over two hours with White taking breaks in-between striking the woman.

White pleaded guilty to six offences, including assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm, related to the incident. He wasn’t supposed to be near the woman.

White also pled to aggravated assault and failing to comply with his probation order in connection with an April 25, 2024 incident at an eatery on Great Northern
