SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - The rainy pattern we’ve seen for the past few days will continue this weekend. High pressure centered to our north will create a southeasterly flow, pushing inland storms toward our coast in the afternoon and evening.
The result is a high rain chance of 70% on Saturday. Some rainfall could linger just offshore early Saturday morning, and scattered showers are possible closer to the coast in the early afternoon.
The primary threat, though, will remain later in the day, when the strongest storms and heaviest rainfall are expected.
The same will be true for Sunday, with a 70% chance of rain, focused later in the day as strong sea breeze storms inland push back west toward the coast.
