SALEM– A Washington County man was arrested Thursday after an Indiana State Police (ISP) investigation into alleged child battery.
On August 4, 2025, the Salem Police Department requested assistance with an alleged battery involving an infant who had been taken to Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville. Indiana State Police Detective Clay Boley responded and was informed that the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) was also investigating. Detective Boley also learned that the alleged battery occurred on August 2, 2025, in Washington County.
The investigation included interviews, including that of twenty-year-old Trent James Morrow of Salem. The child was also evaluated by a forensic team at Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville. All information gathered during the investigat
