Auburn freshman tight end Hollis Davidson III was arrested on a felony charge of possession of a schedule I controlled substance last week, according to an arrest report from the Fayette County Sheriff's office.

According to an Auburn spokesperson, Davidson has been suspended from the team for a "violation of team rules."

The arrest report states that on the night of June 19th in Peachtree City, Georgia, Davidson was found loitering at a closed business near a golf cart. As the officer approached, he placed an item inside the golf cart. The officer smelled marijuana, which established cause for a search that revealed a THC vape in his pants pocket and loose marijuana in the golf cart.
