Target has issued a voluntary recall of its Favorite Day Bakery Frosted Sugar Cookies in over 20 states.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) reports that the 10-pack sugar cookies, which feature colorful icing and sprinkles, have been recalled due to potential wood contamination.
Approximately 12,045 packages of the cookies, which are produced by Target’s in-house brand Favorite Day, have been affected. The cookie packages in question were distributed to Target stores in the following 21 states: Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Michigan, Missouri, New Hampshire, North Carolina, D.C., Rhode Island, Tennessee, Virginia, and Vermont.
