WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — The lead singer of a band canceled from Luzerne County's 'Rockin' the River' , the summer concert series, will perform a free concert in downtown Wilkes-Barre.

Adam Weiner is the lead singer of the Philadelphia-based band, Low Cut Connie.

The band was originally scheduled to perform at the Rockin' the River concert series this summer, but the band received a letter from the county's lawyers saying the gig was cancelled so the show could be free of politics and propaganda.

Now, according to In This Together NEPA, Weiner will perform a solo raw rock and soul piano show on Saturday, September 6th at 6 p.m. on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.
