PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The board members of Wilkes-Barre General Hospital are now expressing their disapproval over the recent announcement made just days ago that a California-based health care company will potentially be the new owners of Wilkes-Barre General, Moses Taylor Hospital, and Regional Hospital of Scranton.

"If you want to interpret this as sounding the alarm, yeah, we're sounding the alarm. We're raising our collective hands and saying, 'Please help us,’” said Justin Matus, the chairman of the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital board.

Newswatch16 reported Wednesday that a nonprofit health care company called Tenor Health Foundation signed a letter of intent to purchase all three hospitals.
