WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — A man faces involuntary manslaughter and related charges in Luzerne County in the death of an 11-month-old boy.
According to court paperwork, Quinton Yachera, 26, admitted to throwing the child of his girlfriend out of frustration that the child would not go to sleep back in May. When Yachera woke up, he found the child unresponsive and showing labored breathing. First responders arrived at the home along South Empire Street in Wilkes-Barre.
The baby was taken to the hospital, where he died from a severe brain injury.
The autopsy report determined the cause of death from blunt force injuries. Montour County coroner ruled the manner of death as a homicide.
Yachera was arraigned and was able to post $250k bail on August 8. He is due back in court on August 18 for a pr
