A new reliever has entered Comerica Park.

The Detroit Tigers promoted right-handed reliever Codi Heuer from Triple-A Toledo on Friday, Aug. 8, before the opener of a three-game series against the Los Angeles Angels .

The Tigers acquired Heuer from the Texas Rangers at the July 31 trade deadline for cash considerations, then assigned him to Triple-A Toledo.
