The last of Taylor Janssen’s 146 career games at Montana State, the second-most in program history, came March 21 in the NCAA Tournament against Ohio State .

She had known for a year or two before then that she didn’t want to jump directly into the working world when her time in college was over. Janssen never had the opportunity to study abroad because of the time commitment to basketball, so now might be her chance.

“There was a part of me that still wanted the chance to live life as a 20-something year-old and see the world,” she said.

Basketball was once prohibitive to traveling. Now, it is her vehicle to do so. And after the Bobcats went 30-4 in 2024-25, their best season ever, Janssen was even more motivated to find a playing opportunity overseas.
