IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - “It’s been a long time coming.”
Defensive lineman Max Llewellyn is ready to enter Kinnick Stadium as a starter. The fifth-year senior has never started a game.
“I’m 22. It’s almost a quarter of my life that I’ve been working to get to that spot,” Llewellyn said. “So year, it feels good.”
“I don’t know if anything is set in stone yet, but I’m just excited to go out there and play football,” said junior defensive back Koen Entringer. “You come to college not to lift weights, you come here to play football. I’m just excited this fall camp trying to get better.”
No longer number two on the depth chart, several Hawkeyes are projected to be first-time starters this fall. Jaden Harrell is one of them entering his fifth season.
