The Coweta County Board of Education voted Thursday to lower its property tax rate from 15.41 mils, to an even 15 — the lowest school tax rate in 44 years.
The 4-3 vote came during a called meeting with members Beth Barnett, Andrew Copeland, Buzz Glover and Rob DuBose in favor of the decrease, while Frank Farmer, Larry Robertson and Amy Dees against.
