EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) -- A 34-year-old woman was arrested after stealing a vehicle and then becoming involved in a hit-and-run crash on Thursday, Aug. 7, in East El Paso County, according to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

According to the Sheriff's Office, Juana Camacho of Tornillo, Texas, was charged with theft of property and collision involving damage. She was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility with a total bond set at $21,000.

Shortly after 4 p.m. on Aug. 7, deputies responded to a stolen vehicle along the 14800 block of Las Colonias Road, EPCSO said.

The investigation revealed that a 2021 white Chevrolet Silverado, valued at $70,000, was stolen, according to EPCSO.

The Sheriff's Office said roughly 20 minutes later, deputies were dispatched to the intersection
