Hello, friends. Congress recess is in full swing and for the first time in months, lawmakers (and reporters!) are able to take a breath.

I’ve been in Utah this past week catching up with members of the Utah delegation as they’ve been catching up with constituents and local organizations about recent legislation. (Read: The Big Beautiful Bill and what exactly that means. More on that below.)

But first , I’m putting on my campaign hat for a moment to take a look at some of our House members who are hanging up their congressional hats — and instead want to return home.
