JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WTAJ) — The 80th annual All-American Amateur Baseball Association tournament has helped boost the Johnstown economy.

Fans have taken their seats inside Sargent's Stadium to see 16 teams from Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Louisiana duke it out on the diamond. What they don't see is revenue flowing into local businesses due to the tournament.

"The economy gets a great boost because, like you said, the hotels greatly benefit from what we do because we house the kids in three different hotels here, most of the restaurants and the fast food places," George Arcurio III, the president of the Johnstown Old Timers Baseball Association, said. "They do very, very well in the course of the week."
