Dean Cain, the actor who portrayed Superman in the 1990s TV program “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” has announced that he is joining United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Cain commented on his decision during an interview on Fox News , where he stated that he felt he was doing the “right thing” for the country. In the same segment, Fox reported that ICE has received over 80,000 new applications from citizens seeking to join the organization.

Prior to the conversation, the actor had posted to his Instagram account encouraging viewers to “defend your homeland” via ICE. The post received over 4,000 likes and 12,000 comments.
