With Jayson Tatum set to be sidelined all season with an achilles injury, the Celtics apparently aren’t set up for prime time this Christmas.
The team will not play on the holiday, according to a report from NBA Insider Shams Charania . It will mark the first time the team hasn’t played on Christmas Day since 2015.
According to Charania, the league’s Christmas Day lineup is as follows:
Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks
San Antonio Spurs at Oklahoma City Thunder
Houston Rockets at LA Lakers
Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors
Minnesota Timberwolves at Denver Nuggets
With Tatum sidelined, Al Horford’s future in question and Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday gone via trades, Boston is not set up to have the type of season it has become used to in recent years.
