Trayce Thompson’s sacrifice fly moved Worcester ahead of Buffalo in the bottom of the fifth inning on Friday night.

And then Jhostynxon Garcia gave the home team some breathing room with a two-run blast in the bottom of the eighth inning to ensure the Red Sox an eventual 5-2 win at Polar Park.

The former Triple-A Player of the Week finished the contest 2-for-5 with two RBIs and one run scored to help Worcester improve its record to 58-53.
