WARREN Hundreds of backpacks were given away to kids preparing for the start of the school year.

The Warren Family Mission puts on the event each year.

The 440 backpacks were filled with school supplies for kids to use when they head back to the classroom.

The Mission also hosted a back to school pizza ice cream party.

The donations were made possible by Walmart, Ultium Cells UAW, and other local partners.
