COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) is investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed in Lexington County.

According to the Highway Patrol, the accident happened on July 24 on Leisure Lane near Irmo.

Troopers said a 2018 Hyundai was driving north on Leisure Lane when it hit a pedestrian near the intersection with St. Andrew Road.

While the 3 people in the Hyundai weren’t harmed, the pedestrian, who was taken to a hospital after the incident, died on August 1.

SCHP says the crash is still under investigation.
