HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — All over the Tennessee Valley, furry friends are looking for their forever homes.

This week, we are featuring a cat from the Greater Huntsville Humane Society (GHHS) who is looking for a family of their own, Summer!

Summer was recently a model for Beautiful Rescues Cat Photography, a volunteer-based photographer for area shelters and rescues.

Summer is described as being reserved in unfamiliar situations, but once she gets comfortable, she warms up.

GHHS said she is friendly, but on her own terms, as she likes to be in charge of her personal space. Summer would make a wonderful companion for a patient, an undemanding human!

The humane society said Summer seems to get along with other friendly and respectful cats and dogs, but doesn't think she will appreciate
