ALEXANDRIA — Medalist Kendell Banyai and 3rd seed Josh Sherlin have both made it to the finals of the Men's Regular Division in the 104th Resorters Tournament, but it wasn't easy.
Both of their opponents gave them a run for their money during Friday's semifinals at the Alexandria Golf Club with both matches going at least 16 holes.

Sam Peterson, the 12th seed who took down the No. 5 seed, Bennett Kurtz, and the No. 4 seed, Logan Johnson, finally met his match Friday against Banyai. Banyai knocked down three wins on the front nine — a birdie on No. 1, a par on No. 4, and a birdie on No. 5 to go 3-up. It took Peterson too long to get started; he didn't win a hole on the front nine.
