HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) - A ribbon cutting was held at the Tell City Schweizer Fest on Friday for "The Abraham" flatboat.

People at the celebration were able to meet with the boat's builder and owner. The boat will be used as an educational tool to teach kids about how pioneers traveled.

In 2028, the flatboat will make a trip down to New Orleans, just like Abraham Lincoln did in 1828.
