Narcotics investigations in Richland Parish lead to 42 arrest warrants

RICHLAND PARISH, La. (KNOE) - The Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division issues 42 arrest warrants for 23 individuals Thursday morning.

Officials say these warrants stem from narcotics investigations that have been ongoing for several months.

RPSO says 15 individuals are in custody, with the remainder expected to be arrested soon.

They say of the 42 warrants, 38 are for the distribution of narcotics, with some bonds set as high as $1 million.

Richland Parish Sheriff Neal Harwell says, “These kinds of investigations and arrests take time, but they are paramount in removing drugs and drug dealers from our communities.”
