CLAYTON, Mo. (First Alert 4) – The Clayton Police Department is asking for the public’s help with its investigation into a hate crime earlier this week.
Clayton officers were called to the 7500 block of Westmoreland Avenue around 3 a.m. on Tuesday for a report of a vehicle fire. When officers arrived, they found three cars that were heavily damaged from a fire they believe was intentionally set.
Drone 4 captured video of graffiti on the street where the cars were burned, in which “Death to the IDF” was written. The IDF is the Israel Defense Forces, the national military of the state of Israel.
Another part of this message was a direct attack on an individual. First Alert 4 is blurring part of the threatening message because it’s targeted at a specific individual.
