Wild new dashcam video shows a Miami driver fleeing from a Florida Highway Patrol trooper at speeds that authorities said went over 125 mph before the trooper crashed into the suspect's car.

According to an arrest report, the incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Thursday when the trooper who was merging onto the Dolphin Expressway from Northwest 42nd Avenue in a marked FHP vehicle was passed by a speeding BMW.

The trooper began to follow the BMW as it started speeding over 125 mph in a 55 mph zone, the report said.

The dashcam video, obtained by NBC6 on Friday, shows the trooper pursuing the BMW on the highway with emergency lights and sirens.

The BMW speeds through traffic in what the report described as "an extremely reckless manner," to elude the trooper.
