BEAUMONT, Texas — Both directions of Interstate 10 will face extended closures this weekend at Boyt Road as crews install concrete beams for the ongoing highway widening project, the Texas Department of Transportation's Beaumont District announced.

Westbound I-10 will close Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., while eastbound lanes face two separate closures: Saturday from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. and Sunday from noon to 7 p.m.

A TxDOT contractor will place concrete beams over I-10 during the closures as part of the I-10 widening project.

Motorists traveling westbound during Saturday's closure should exit at FM 364/Major Drive, take Texas Highway 124 and re-enter westbound I-10 at FM 365.
