KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - One person is hospitalized following a shooting involving Kansas City, Kansas police officers.

The department said the shooting happened near 82nd Terrace and State Avenue before 4 p.m.

According to information shared on social media, no officers were injured in the shooting. One person was transported to a hospital for treatment.

Investigators ask people to avoid the area on State Ave. from 82nd Street to 84th Street.

KBI is investigating the scene.
