KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The 19-year-old believed to have shot a victim with a pre-existing traumatic brain injury during a robbery at a Kansas City convenience store has been arrested.
Jackson County, Missouri, Circuit Court records filed on Thursday, Aug. 7, indicate that Anthony R. Rushing, 19, of Kansas City, has been charged in connection with the incident.
A probable cause statement filed by the Kansas City Police Department revealed that around 12:15 a.m. on Aug. 1, law enforcement officials were called to the Thirty-Fifth Street Market at 3801 E. 35th St. with reports of a shooting.
When first responders arrived, they said they were told the victim’s family took him to a nearby hospital. There, the victim’s mother told them he had just gotten paid and went to the gas station
