JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — One woman was killed and two others were injured in a crash on Cherokee Road in Johnson City Friday morning, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP).

The THP said the crash involved three vehicles and occurred at 7:35 a.m. on State Highway 67 (Cherokee Road) near Lone Oak Road.

According to the THP, a Kia Spectra and a Ford Flex were traveling westbound on Cherokee Road, as a Hyundai Kona was traveling eastbound. The Kia and the Ford reportedly collided while traveling in the same direction. The Ford then crossed the center line, striking the Hyundai head-on.

The woman in the Kia, Madison Bowman, 39, was killed in the crash, the THP said.

A driver of the Hyundai, a 23-year-old woman, was reportedly injured.
