DOTHAN, Ala (WDHN) -- Over a dozen provisional ballots from Dothan's municipal election may not be counted because some of the verification forms were incorrectly sealed.
Dothan City Clerk Wendy Shiver tells WDHN that out of the 38 provisional ballots cast in Tuesday's election, 19 votes may not be counted due to an error at one of the precincts. Additionally, after review, another six votes were determined not to be counted by the Houston County Board of Registrars' office. This leaves only 13 provisional ballots that may be counted.
Shiver says this is because some of the provisional verification statement forms were sealed in incorrect envelopes at the Wiregrass Recreation Center polling place in District 2.
