MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Nine practices into preseason camp, Rich Rodriguez continues to form evaluations and get a better idea of what could and couldn’t work for West Virginia in the upcoming 2025 season.

Come Saturday when the Mountaineers practice for a 10th time, Rodriguez hopes to discover more than what he has over a single practice in camp to this point as the team will conduct a game-like scrimmage inside Milan Puskar Stadium.

“I want to see who’s going to really play football. There’s not too much coaching on, but probably at times, too much assistance where coaches are yelling at our guys what to do and whatever,” Rodriguez said. “That’s not what happens in the game.
