ANACONDA, Mont. (Gray News) - A seven-day manhunt for a bar shooting suspect in Montana appears to have come to a close Friday.

Authorities say that Michael Brown, 45, was taken into custody Friday by law enforcement.

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte confirmed Brown’s capture .

“The Anaconda shooter, Michael Brown, has been apprehended. Incredible response from law enforcement officers across Montana,” the governor shared.

Deputies spent days traversing rugged terrain in Montana looking for the military veteran suspected of fatally shooting four people at The Owl Bar last week.

Authorities said Brown took off from the scene after the deadly shooting.
