CORINNA, Maine (WABI) - The Levi Stewart Community Theater is putting on “Closer to Home” by Brent Hutchins next weekend.

Hutchins is a playwright from Downeast Maine who used his local expertise to craft a story about the fictional town “Broad Harbor.”

Lately, the Corinna theater located on the top floor of the Stewart Free Library Building has put on multiple Maine-themed shows, and Director Gary Dorman says the community has received them well.

“They generally are very positive to it because they can see, they see a lot of, you know, community members that might be the same character type if it was in our town and stuff.
