BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Vietnam veterans in the area will want to learn about an announcement form the Daughters of the American Revolution, an organization dedicated to patriotism.

Signups are open until Aug. 23 for a free bus trip to Frankfort.

The group is asking Vietnam veterans to bring a guest and visit the state Capitol’s Vietnam memorial.

U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Dan Cherry says, “So it’s something all of us, as Kentuckians, should be proud of. And and I’m delighted to know that after October four, when we take our trip, there will be a lot of Vietnam veterans and their families who have never seen it before. And they’re going to be proud, too.”
