CLINTON, Tennessee — A woman is facing child abuse and neglect charges after an investigation into a Clinton daycare.

The Clinton Police Department said its investigation into Kiddie Korner Day Care has been completed. On Friday, police arrested Micayla Wald, 28, on two counts of child abuse and neglect of a child under eight years old.

Wald was booked into the Anderson County Detention Facility and given a $50,000 bond.

"Due to the criminal nature of this investigation, CPD was not able to comment on this case until the case was presented to the Anderson County Grand Jury. There is still an ongoing investigation with the Department of Children's Services," police said.
