TEXARKANA, Texas – Texas enacted a cell phone ban at all state public schools effective Sept. 1, and Liberty-Eylau ISD began implementing the program on the first day of school, on Wednesday.

A faculty member from the school shared his reaction on social media after watching students return to school this week without cell phones.

Career and Technical Education Director Ricky Rushing said he created the viral Facebook post to inform the community about how the first day went without cell phones.
