VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— We've been following a deadly shooting that happened outside a liquor store earlier this week, in Vincennes.

Dylan Smith faces a murder charge in connection with the fatal shooting of 30-year-old Taylor Hendershot. The Vincennes Police Chief Jon Hillenbrand said they were previously in a relationship, and that Hendershot left Smith several months prior.

In light of this incident, WTWO spoke with Dirk Carnahan. He's the Prosecuting Attorney for the 12th Judicial Circuit. Carnahan said someone in a domestic violence situation can contact law enforcement, the "victim advocate" in the prosecutor's office, or local organizations such as Hope's Voice.
