According to Benton County Fire District #1 (BCFD1), crews managed to keep the fire limited to around an acre in size.
Firefighters were first called at approximately 2:17 p.m. on Friday afternoon. Upon arrival, they discovered the fire burning trees, blackberry bushes and other natural vegetation near a home.
BCFD1 reported that the crew from Engine 1113 protected the home from burn damage. No injuries were reported from the incident, and no road closures were issued.
Crews will remain on scene until at least 6 p.m. to continue mop up efforts, according to BCFD1. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
