TWIN FALLS — The man suspected of ramming two law enforcement vehicles Wednesday night fled the scene, traveling up to 95 mph in oncoming lanes of traffic, court documents say.

The incident left a detective and Twin Falls sheriff's deputy with minor injuries, and their vehicles were "severely" damaged, reports say. The suspect was later apprehended.

Idaho State Police and Twin Falls County Sheriff's deputies responded late Wednesday night to a welfare check in a parking lot off Pole Line Road, police say.

Court records say a relative of Owens told law enforcement earlier that night that the suspect was having a mental health crisis.
