LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — For the third straight year, young baseball players from Southern Nevada will compete for a Little League World Series title.
The Summerlin South Little League won Little League’s Mountain Region championship on Friday, beating the Lone Peak Little League from Alpine, Utah, 6-3. The Summerlin South team went undefeated in the regional tournament.
Summerlin South joins the 2023 Henderson Little League and the 2024 Paseo Verde Little League as recent regional champions to advance to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, to compete at the Little League World Series.
The 2025 Little League World Series is set to begin Wednesday, Aug. 13. Summerlin South is one of 10 U.S. teams, and 20 teams total, to play in the annual tournament.
