INDIANAPOLIS — A Danville woman has been preliminarily charged with allegedly supplying fentanyl and xylazine that led to the overdose death of a man in Marion County.

According to court documents, Carolyn Laucher has been charged with dealing in a controlled substance resulting in death, a Level 1 felony. As of the date of publication, she has an active warrant for her arrest.

Court docs indicate that 25-year-old Tanner Ballard died from an apparent drug overdose on April 12, around 4:01 a.m. The autopsy report determined the official cause of death as acute intoxication by the combined effects of fentanyl and xylazine.
