It’s hard to write a recap for the Detroit Lions vs. Atlanta Falcons game when it ended on such a somber note. Lions safety Morice Norris suffered an injury on a high-speed collision that required an ambulance to come onto the field and take the defender off the field. The two teams opted to forfeit the entire fourth quarter, leaving the Lions winners 17-10. But not many people are thinking about the win or loss on Friday night. Let’s just hope Norris is okay.

As for the actual game, the biggest story was at the Lions’ backup quarterback position. Hendon Hooker had the opportunity to start the game, and while he was able to move the ball better than in the preseason opener, he turned the ball over twice with two fumbles.
